Description of Service
Social Housing sheltered accommodation: for customers over 60 years with a support need or with a medical need for a sheltered accommodation. The scheme itself is opposite Rossmere Park and close to local shops and bus route. There are 35 properties within the scheme across 2 blocks, with a mixture of 1 and 2 bed roomed apartments. Each block consists of 18 apartments over 3 floors, which are serviced by stair lifts to the upper floors. The apartments consist of living room, kitchen, bedroom/s, bathroom and passage. The scheme benefits from a community hall where all activities are held. Within the hall is a computer room/salon, kitchen and toileting facilities. All apartments have access to a pull cord system to call for assistance in emergencies. There is a scheme manager who can be contacted on the above number for assistance or advice. 24 hour support: access support anytime by calling our contact centre or by speaking to onsite staff. Outside agencies: we have good links and communication with other support providers and Hartlepool Borough Council so the right care can be accessed when identifying individual needs. Community: Use of all on-site facilities and activities. We try to create sociable and friendly community.

Is there a cost for this service?
Rent and service charges can be discussed on an individual basis. If you are in receipt of care you will be assessed through Adult Social Services and advised what contribution you will pay towards the cost of the care received.

There are stair lifts to the upper floors within each block, also wheelchair accessible in the communal building. All flats have Tunstall alarm system. There is a door entry system to each flat at the entrance of the building. We can provide support, advice and access to adaptations for each tenants individual needs communal areas are also accessible for our Tenants diverse needs.
