Clavering Primary School

Clavering Primary School is a successful, exciting and caring primary school where, as members of the Clavering Family, we DREAM, we BELIEVE and we ACHIEVE by working TOGETHER.

We provide a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment where everyone is respected and learning is valued.

We have high expectations in all areas and work towards developing successful, determined and well-rounded children.

Our ethos of 'Dream, Believe, Achieve Together' describes a collective determination of the whole Clavering Family to work in partnership. This is exemplified by the very strong relationships between pupils, staff, families and governors.

Our school is blessed with talented and caring staff members, at all levels, who aim to provide an excellent all-round experience for our children - both within and beyond the classroom - through the Clavering Curriculum.

In addition to our statutory curriculum, we offer a range of extra-curricular opportunities and programmes that enable our pupils to be active citizens, complete, work effectively with others, take on roles of responsibility and develop their leadership skills. Throughout the school, there are excellent opportunities for pupils to engage in a range of additional activities, roles and responsibilities and both our pupils and their families appreciate the opportunities to go on school visits and participate in the school's progressively challenging residentials in Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6.

Through the nationally-recognised and multi-award-winning Clavering Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity (PESSPA) Programme, all pupils have the opportunity to be physically active on a daily basis, participate in extra-curricular PESSPA activities, and compete in intra- and inter-school competitions.

As a school, we believe passionately in educating the 'whole child' and ensuring that our children leave us equipped for life in a global society and work in a global economy, determined to fulfil their aspirations. Our pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is a significant strength of the school and is promoted through a wide range of activities.

Clavering is a very inclusive school. Equality of opportunity is central to our work and we take pride in being a very caring and inclusive school where all pupils are valued and are able to access all the school has to offer. It is widely acknowledged that every member of staff works hard to make sure that all groups of pupils do as well as they can, including those with SEN and/or Disabilities and those entitled to the Pupil Premium Grant.
