Service summary

The Children's Society

The Children's Society is a leading national charity, driven by the belief that every child deserves a good childhood. It provides vital help and understanding for those forgotten children who face the greatest danger, discrimination or disadvantage in their daily lives; children who are unable to find the support they need anywhere else.

To maximise effectiveness, resources are targeted on four priority areas of work:
• Children in trouble with the law
• Children at risk on the streets
• Disabled children
• Young refugees

We are a national charity that works with some of the most vulnerable children and young people in Britain today. We listen. We support. We act. Because we believe no child should feel alone.

Every child is unique and different, so are the problems they face. It’s often complex. Today’s society isn’t set up to deal with so many young people with so many different problems.
