Buses & Taxis

Bus Routes

Buses are an affordable and environmentally friendly way to travel around Hartlepool. Different companies operate local services, and you can buy single ticket or passes for a day, week, or month.

There are discounted travel passes available for students and people aged 60.

You can plan journeys using the Traveline (0871 200 2233) or Connect Tees Valley websites.

Taxis

Taxis can be picked up from a taxi rank, hailed on the street, or booked in advance, while minicabs must always be pre-booked.

Hartlepool Boough Council licenses and checks taxis and drivers to help keep passengers safe. If a taxi seems unsafe or the driver appears unfit to drive, do not get in and report rhe issue to the Council.

Information about accessible taxis for people with disabilities is available on the Hartlepool Borough Council website.
