Bus Routes

Buses are a cheap and green way to travel around Hartlepool.

Different bus companies run services in the area.

You can buy tickets for one trip, or get passes for a day, week, or month.

There are also special passes for students and people over 60.

To plan your trip, visit the Traveline website or call 0871 200 22 33.

You can also use the Connect Tees Valley website to find walking routes and plan your journey.

Taxis

Taxis can be hired right away.

You can fnd one at a taxi rank, hail one in the street, or book ahead.

Minicabs must be booked in advance.

Hartlepool Council checks taxis to make sure they are safe and insured.

Drivers must pass tests and checks before they get a licence.

If a taxi looks unsafe or the driver seems drunk or confused, do not get in.

Report any problems to the Hartlepool Council.
