Hartlepool Young Onset Dementia Group - Having fun while supporting family and friends

The Hartlepool Young Onset Dementia Group was formed by Colin and John who were both diagnosed with Young Onset Dementia. Colin and John had both been attending The Bridge, the Dementia Advisory Service in Hartlepool, which developed their friendship.

They wanted to continue to meet up outside of The Bridge, so they set up a group of their own. This group has grown gradually over the years and they meet every Thursday to discuss what they have done during the week and support each other.

As the group has grown, more and more activities are being created and they have attended different community events throughout the town.

Due to the group being in high demand there is a waiting list at the moment, could you please contact The Bridge to be added to the waiting list.

If you are under the age of 65 and have been diagnosed with Young Onset Dementia please come along and bring your family and friends to The Heathers, Heather Grove, TS24 8QZ 10:00am – 12noon
