1492 Brain injury support group

My name is Jonathan Purnell, I am a brain injury survivor. In 1990, I suffered a massive Subarachnoid brain haemorrhage on 27.01 1990 I was to spend 3 years under the care of the consultant neurosurgeon. During which time, I formulated a mental image of what my new life should look like once I was discharged!

My life had to be rebuilt completely from the bottom up. The main problem being, there were no readily available support services to aid me in my rebuild. I have spent the last 32 years searching for a rebuilding of my shattered life, so I now have a satisfactory level of independence. So using my lived experience. I have created the 1492 group. I will meet with those who choose to access the services on the 1492 group!
