Pride in Place open calls
The Hartlepool Board are getting ready to launch a new Pride in Place open call, giving voluntary and community sector organisations and charities in Hartlepool the opportunity to apply for funding to help deliver priorities identified by local residents.
Before the fund opens, Hartlepool Community Trust & Hartlepool Opportunities Partnership would like to invite organisations to come along to an informal information session to hear more about the opportunity, hear insight from our local communities so we can connect and compliment this and ask questions about the application process.
The open call will focus on two key priorities:
Priority 1 – Activating Parks, Public Spaces & Beaches
Residents have consistently told us how important our parks, green spaces, beaches and public spaces are to them. We are interested in ideas that can help make these places more welcoming, active and better used by local communities.
Priority 2 – Community Assets & Neighbourhood Spaces
Residents have also highlighted the importance of having accessible local places where people can meet, take part in activities, access support and build stronger connections with others in their neighbourhood.
The funding is intended to contribute to the wider Pride in Place themes of Safety and Security, Health and Wellbeing, Community Cohesion, and High Street, Heritage and Regeneration.
At the session, we’ll talk through the priorities in more detail, coming from the community views and interactions, the types of activity and investment that could be supported, eligibility, the application process and how proposals will be assessed.
There will also be an opportunity to talk through early ideas, hear what others are considering and explore where organisations may be able to work together and with residents.
You do not need to have a fully developed project to attend. If your organisation works with local communities, manages a community space, delivers activities in neighbourhoods or simply has an idea that could contribute to these priorities, we encourage you to come along and find out more.
