Libraries @ The Hub

TO READ IS TO VOYAGE THROUGH TIME! - Carl Sagan

Hartlepool's Library team ensures Hartlepool Borough Council meets its statutory obligations by delivering the town's library provision across our Hubs and branch libraries.

The libraries provide

  • a range of books for people to borrow in a number of formats, including large print, digital and audio books.
  • support reading and writing groups
  • author events
  • regional and national book festivals
  • the People's Network, which gives residents access to computers and the Internet.

Reading has been shown to provide health  benefits such as deep relaxtation and inner calm. Regular readers are known to sleep better, have lower stress levels and  higher self-esteem.

No matter where you are in the town, take some time for yourself and pop into one of our libraries, sit back, relax and emerse yourself in a new world.
