Blue Badge Scheme

The Blue Badge helps people who find it hard to walk or use buses. It lets them park closer to where they need to go.

Who can get a Blue Badge?

You might get a badge if:

• You have big problems walking.

• You find it hard to use public transport.

What does the badge do?

• You can park in special places on the street.

• You can be a driver or a passenger.

• It helps you travel more easily and safely.

Important to know

• The badge works only on public streets.

• It does not work in places like:

  • Supermarket car parks

  • Airport roads

  • Private car parks

Who gives out the badge?

Your local council decides if you can have one.
