Safeguarding Adults - Organisational Abuse

What is it?
Organisational abuse happens when people are not looked after properly in places like care homes, hospitals, or even in their own homes.

It can be:

  • A one-time mistake
  • Or something that keeps happening

This kind of abuse can happen because:

  • The rules in the place are not good
  • Staff are not trained well
  • People are not treated with respect

Why it matters:
Everyone deserves to be safe and cared for. If someone is being treated badly or not getting the help they need, it’s important to speak up. Click here for further information.
