Help to Live at Home

If you want to stay living in your own home, there is help available.

Live Well Suite

You can visit the Community Hub Central on York Road. There are friendly staff who can talk with you about staying safe and well at home. They can show you things that might help, like special equipment for your house.

You don’t need an appointment.

Just come in on Wednesdays between 10am and 1pm.

Or email: [email protected]

Personal Home Care

Home care workers and personal helpers can support you with things like:

  • Washing and dressing

  • Eating meals

  • Cleaning your home

If you get money to pay for care, you can choose your own helper.

You and your helper will agree what support you need.

You can also check the Care Quality Commission (CQC) website to see how care services are rated.

Personal Nursing Care

If you need help with things like medicine or bandages, a nurse can come to your home. This means you can stay at home and still get the care you need.

You can find nursing services on the CQC website.

Please note: the ratings on the site may be a few years old.

The cost depends on the service and what care you need.
