Prescription Delivery / Collection
You can collect a friend's or relative's repeat prescription from the GP surgery. You can also take a prescription to collect someone else's medicine for them. The person will need to fill in the part of the prescription form. This will show you are collecting on their behalf.
If you are collecting someone's 'controlled medication' - such as morphine and methadone. You are legally required to show the pharmacist proof of your identity.
Many pharmacies offer a prescription collection service. They will get your prescription and have it ready at the pharmacy. Making it easier to collect your medicines at the best time for you.
If you need to order your medicine, the pharmacist will make sure its ready. Once again, making it easier for you when you call to order your medicine.
