The University Hospital of Hartlepool provides patients with a wide range of diagnostic services and outpatient clinics, day case and low risk surgery. 

Anaesthetics

Our team of dedicated anaesthetists and specialist nurses work as part of the perioperative team, ensuring that you are fit for your operation by providing pre-assessment service prior to your operation, and by providing the anaesthetic care during your operation.

Clinical Support Services

Clinical Support service include Pharmacy and Radiology.

Integrated urgent care

Integrated urgent care services are provided in Hartlepool for illness and minor injuries. If you are unwell and need to use the service we advise that you book an appointment first by calling NHS 111. If you have a minor injury please wall in to the Hospital.

Medicine 

The Medicine Service at University Hospital of Hartlepool offers a broad range including Haematology, Diabetes, Cardiology, Heart and Cancer services.

Nursing

Our hospital Chaplains offer a service of spiritual and pastoral support to patients, their Carers, friends and family as well as our staff in the hospitals, Butterwick hospice, and through referral in the community, to people of all faiths and people who don't have a faith.

Orthopaedics

Our highly skilled doctors, nurses, therapists and support staff will take good care of you if you are unfortunate enough to have a fall or accident resulting in broken bones anywhere in the body. We also look after people who need spinal, hip, knee, shoulder, elbow or hand surgery.

Surgery

Our surgical clinics include; orthopaedics, gynaecology, breast, urology, colorectal, upper GI, thyroid, vascular, bariatric and pain services.
