Motor Neurone Disease (MND)

Motor Neurone Disease is a serious illness. It affects the nerves in your body that help you move. These nerves stop working over time. This means your muscles get weaker and you may find it hard to walk, talk, eat, or breathe.

MND does not affect your thinking or memory. You are still the same person inside.

There is no cure for MND, but doctors and nurses can help you feel more comfortable. They can give you support and equipment to help you live as well as possible.

If you or someone you know has MND, you are not alone. There are people and groups who can help you.
