Hearing Care

In the UK, around 1 in 7 people are deaf or hard of hearing.

There are two main causes of hearing loss, which are ageing and loud noise exposure.

Loud noise can hurt your ears. If you hear loud sounds often, it can damage your hearing. This damage cannot be fixed.

You may not notice right away. But over time, it can get harder to hear.

Places like clubs or concerts can be very loud. Listening to loud music through headphones can also be risky.

To keep your ears safe:

  • Turn the volume down.

  • Take breaks from loud noises.

  • Use earpugs in noisy places.

If you are worried about your hearing, speak to your doctor. They can check your ears and help you.
