Nursing Homes

A Nursing Home may be appropriate if you have a disability or illness. This means you need care often and cannot be at home for care.

In addition to the services provided by a residential care home. A nursing home always has a registered nurse on the premises. Offering 24-hour nursing care.

Nursing homes have specialist services to people with learning disabilities or mental ill health.

Hartlepool Borough Council offers information to help you find the correct nursing home. 

The NHS will pay the nursing element of your fees. You may have to help towards the cost of your accommodation, meals, and personal care.

If you qualify for 'continuing care', meaning you require ongoing specialist treatment. The NHS will cover the full cost of your care.
