Register as a Carer with your GP

The Government have asked all GP surgeries to register all carers. As they recognise a carers' health affected by the stress and strain of caring.

If you care for someone disabled, frail or ill. Please tell your GP practices reception team. GPs are then made aware of your caring duties and offer help and support. GPs would also offer details on issues connected with your caring role.

Surgeries are creating a list of all Carers. This will help surgeries acknowledge your needs as a Carer and can offer support.
