• To contact schools for relevant information to support Children's Hub decision making
• To support schools to understand when to refer concerns about a child and when not to refer
• To provide support and challenge were appropriate
• To feedback to schools on the outcome of their referral and help them understand what happens next

The Emergency Duty Team

This team provides an out-of-hours response to emergency situations involving child protection, childcare, mental health and other adults care service matters.

They provide a point of advice and where necessary, immediate service to individuals and families who are experiencing problems. They work closely with other emergency services including Health, Warden Call, Police, Women's Refuges and the Benefits Agency. They are only available outside of normal office hours on telephone01642 130080.
