Working Families

Working Families is the UK’s work-life balance organisation. We help working parents and Carers—and their employers—find a better balance between responsibilities at home and in the workplace. We provide free legal advice to parents and Carers on their rights at work. We give employers the tools they need to support their employees while creating a flexible, high-performing workforce. Information for working parents and Carers on their employment rights, Tax Credits and in-work benefits, maternity and paternity leave, flexible working options and maternity discrimination. This includes a section especially for parents of disabled children. Our Legal Helpline gives parents and Carers advice on employment rights such as maternity and paternity leave, rights to time off in an emergency, and parental leave, as well as helping them to negotiate the flexible hours they want.
