RSPB Saltholme

If you're new to birdwatching, Saltholme is the perfect place to start. These family-friendly wetlands have a helpful visitor's centre, hides and screens which let you get up close to water rail, yellow wagtails and terns, plus a family discovery zone, cafe, play area and accessible trails.

Alive with the sights and sounds of thousands of birds, seals and much more, RSPB Saltholme is a haven for both wildlife and families, a place where people can get close to nature.
With regular hands- on activities and family events throughout the year, there's something for everyone whatever the weather.

  • Entry fees apply:
    -RSPB Members free
    -£6 for adults
    -£3 for children (under 5s and first child over 5 go free)
    -£4 for students

    Entry to the the café and shop entry is free.
    Entry fees apply to all buses and those travelling by public transport or on foot.
