Volunteer Mentor

Job Provider

Catcote Futures

Job summary

Hundreds of children and young people are in care living in Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Stockton, Redcar, Darlington and East Durham. Too many of them lack the stable and consistent relationships they need to thrive (as children, and later as adults).

By volunteering as a mentor you could be that crucial role model who helps a young person build confidence, life skills ad self-esteem.

Mentors are a trusted friend. A mate. Someone who can guide and nurture and cares about what young people want to do and achieve. Someone who will support them to realise their dreams and achieve their goals.

Mentors are there for young people at least a few times a month, for as little as a few hours each time. They make a huge difference to young people's lives and usually have fun too by getting a real sense of satisfaction from making a difference.
