Creative Journaling

21 Jul

Event description

Fancy getting creative whilst enjoying a hot cuppa and freshly baked cake? Join us for Creative Journaling! Who runs the session? Hi, I'm Zoe! The founder & director of Postpartum Matters CIC and The Women's Health Hub. I'm an Autistic mother, a wife, a baker, a creator, a research scientist and a doula & birth activist. I'm also OBSESSED with being creative. Not just because it's fun (which it really is!), but being creative and journaling has SO many mental health benefits, and helps with mindfulness too. Baking is also my hobby, so you can bet that I'm bringing freshly baked cake to enjoy at our creative journaling sessions! Cake and crafting? Have I sold you yet? What happens at the Creative Journaling sessions? We all gather at The Women's Health Hub once a month, around the table. We sit, eat cake and chat whilst we cut, stick, draw and write - basically, whatever feels right for you. No artistic skills required, you do not have to be an artist or exert crafter to take part. All the tools and supplies are provided, you just need to turn up and have a go. These sessions are a great opportunity to talk about whatever you'd like - the weather, the world, or something that is bothering you. I will hold space for you and listen, no matter what you'd like to talk about. And if you don't want to talk, that's fine too! You can craft and enjoy a hot cuppa and cake in the company of others. You can come on your own, or bring someone with you for support. The Women's Health Hub is an LGBTQIA+ affirming space, and we are fully wheelchair accessible. When and where are the sessions held? Creative Journaling is held on the third Sunday of every month, 6-8pm at The Women’s Health Hub, The Arches Shopping Village, Park Road, Hartlepool, TS24 7PW. Contact Me: If you have any questions about the Creative Journaling sessions, then please reach out! You can get me on email at: [email protected] And you can find us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/womenshealthhartlepool/ I'd love it if you could join me! See you at a creative journaling session soon? Zoe x
