Description:

I have been a Registered Childminder since 1995.
I have always been graded ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.
My current grade is ‘Good’ in all areas.

I offer a home from home environment where children are respected and cherished.

Children are encouraged to believe in themselves and know ‘I’m happy, its ok to be me’ and be proud of who they are, their differences and achievements.

I have an excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stages and I follow this to further promote children's development.

I also have extensive experience of working with children with additional needs, allergies, visual impairment, type 1 diabetes, Autism, Aspergers, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD, Global development delay, Hyper mobility, Speech and language delay and special diets.
I have also cared for children with medical needs and take professional advice/training when required.

I practice basic/baby sign language with all babies and children with speech difficulties to assist in their communication skills.

The development, well-being and safety of all children in my care is paramount.

I help children develop the skills to be confident, outgoing, adventurous, curious, polite, considerate, caring and help promote their love for learning.
I teach children to be respectful of themselves, of others, cultures, disabilities, abilities, feelings etc.

I offer educational as well as social experiences.
We often go to parks, play groups, museums, farms etc. This is dependent on the children that day and their abilities, likes and dislikes.

My husband is registered with Ofsted to be my assistant and to offer another pair of eyes, ears or hands if needed. He works with me every day.
I also employ another assistant who is also registered with Ofsted. She is a primary school teacher and works with me during busy school holidays if needed.
Both are Paediatric 1st aid trained, have completed safeguarding courses and are DBS checked.

I work closely with parents/carers and families as well as nurseries, schools and health care professionals.

I currently do a pickup from Kingsley school, and drop off and pick up from Throston School and Nursery. However other schools and nurseries will be considered if I can fit them in around these

I offer government funded 2, 3 & 4 year old nursery entitlement places and I accept Tax free childcare payments and workplace vouchers.
I offer full time and part time places as well as term-time only and all year round places.
