Caring Better Together - seeking community views

“Tell us what we do well and what we need to do better” – NHS trusts call on community for views

We are reaching out to our community partners for your views about the care and experience service users may have experienced with University Hospitals Tees (UHT). UHT comprises North Tees and Hartlepool and South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trusts.

We have already gathered more than 1,000 responses from its survey – Caring Better Together - from those who have used our services.

Our health group includes hospital sites in Middlesbrough, Stockton, Northallerton and Hartlepool as well as community sites across Teesside, North Yorkshire and County Durham.

Stacey Hunter, chief executive, says: “We want to hear from anyone who has had care under any of our services.

“What did we do well, what should we have done better, what one simple change could we make to improve things and what matters most to you when you need our help.

“We are also asking people to tell us more and share any ideas we could explore.

“We can already see from the feedback so far some themes developing, whether it’s about the real empathy, compassion and knowledge of our staff and excellent care we provide or the frustrations people have about parking, waiting times, services not linking up as they should or cancellation of appointments.

“This honesty will help us as we look to improve the experience patients have under the care of either of the two health trusts I lead under the University Hospitals Tees group.”
