BBC - Make a Difference Awards

The BBC Make a Difference Awards are your chance to say thank you and recognise those who improve lives where we live. 

The award nominations are now open and close on Monday 31st March, so it would be great if you could nominate someone! Shortlisted finalists will be notified from June 2025 and our Make a Difference Award Ceremonies are taking place across the UK in September 2025. 

Winners will be selected by a panel of judges and awards will be given in each category across each national and local BBC radio station. 

The following 8 categories are:

• The Young Hero (New to 2025)
• The Great Neighbour Award
• The Active Award (New to 2025)
• The Animal Award
• The Green Award
• The Fundraiser Award
• The Community Group Award
