School Admission Appeal Panel - Volunteer Opportunities

Would you like to become involved in an important, impartial service provided to parents and schools?

We are seeking volunteers to join School Admission Appeal Panels which deal with primary and secondary school admission appeals. 

Each panel is made up of three or five members who are independent of Hartlepool Borough Council and meet on an ad-hoc basis. The panels hear admission appeals against decisions not to admit children to particular schools. 

We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have experience in education or are familar with educational conditions, e.g. a teacher or a parent of a child attending a school.
