Our group met for their monthyl meeting in The Bridge Dementia Advice Centre on 31st May and we updated the advisors what our Thursday group has been up to since our last blog. We had a stall in the Middleton Grange Shopping Centre during Dementia Action Week and raised £140 selling the craft items we had made.  We plan to hold antother stall in the near future and may  include a tombola.

We are a Young Onset Dementia Group (for anyone under 65 who is diagnosed with Dementia) and we meet in The Bridge the last Friday of the month, we meet our peers to socialise and have fun, have a bit of banter and to discuss any issues we feel need addressing. When we meet, it's like getting together with family or going out with a mate.  We always leave feeling positive and happy.

Running from Monday 20th May until Sunday 26th May, a packed schedule of events follows the launch with something on offer to suit all ages, including: Stories and rhymes sessions at Community Hubs and libraries throughout the week.

We were absolutely delighted to relaunch our amazing Project 65 last month after securing funding for the next two years.  We've already met some lovely people who have loaned our Tablets and we look forward to getting to know them better at our twice-weekly drop-ins here at the Centre for Independent Living.
