National Deaf Children's Society

Our vision is a world without barriers for every deaf child.

We support all deaf children and young people, regardless of their level of deafness, how they communicate or what technical aids they use. We use the term ‘deaf’ to mean all types of hearing loss, including unilateral deafness and temporary deafness such as glue ear.

Membership of NDCS is free and allows families and professionals full access to our website and regular email updates on our work. We provide a range of services, events, support and information for deaf children, young people and their families. You can find information about these and how we support deaf children and young people their families and professionals on our website.

• We help families give the best possible support to their deaf child every step of the way.
• Deaf children and young people are at the heart of our work. We make sure their needs come first, and we help others do the same.
• We give expert unbiased support to help deaf children and their parents make informed choices about their lives.
• We work together with others to positively challenge unfairness.
