CAMHS Crisis Team/Single point of access for mental health crisis services - A single point of access telephone number is making it easier for those in mental distress to get urgent help. The phone-line is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, offering callers a series of options which will divert them to the appropriate local service. Young Minds offer both support for Parents and Young People via their helplines and specialist Crisis Text Helpline.

The YoungMinds Crisis Messenger text service provides free, 24/7 crisis support across the UK. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis and need support, you can text YM to 85258 where a trained volunteer will respond with support and advice.

SHOUT Crisis Messenger

PAPYRUS

Papyrus are a charity who provide confidential support and advice service for children and young people under the age of 35 who are experiencing thoughts of suicide, or anyone concerned that a young person could be thinking about suicide.

Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM)

CALM run a free and confidential helpline and webchat – 7 hours a day, 7 days a week for anyone who needs to talk about life’s problems. CALM can be accessed by anybody but was originally aimed at men as statistics show that 75% of those who die by suicide are male.
