Description of Service
Cruse is a specialist bereavement and postvention counselling* service which is recognised as the main place to turn in Teesside when bereaved.
*Postvention counselling is for those who have been bereaved by suicide.
The service offers advice, information and support to anyone who has been bereaved (children from age 5).
Then service is provided by trained, experienced volunteers and is confidential and free.

Is there a cost for this service?
Monday to Thursday - 9:30am to 4:30pm
Friday - 9:30am to 3:30pm
There is a drop-in centre in Middlesbrough the first and third Thursday of each month - 11:0am to 1:00pm where people can call in for an informal chat and a cuppa, no appointment necessary.
One to one support sessions can be made available in Hartlepool upon request.

The Middlesbrough premises are situated on the first floor and accessed via stairs. External venues can be arranged, on request, if easier access it required.
