Service Description

Description of Service

Addaction delivers treatment in partnership with Hartlepool Borough Council as part of the HART (Hartlepool Action Recovery Team).

Come and visit our service and speak to one of our trained experts. We’re here to help you - you can tell us as little or as much as you want. We’ll work with you to help you manage, reduce or stop your drug (including prescription drugs) or alcohol use.

You can also come and talk to us if you’re worried about someone else’s drug or alcohol use, rather than your own.

You can get whatever help and support you need from us. You can see someone on a one-to-one basis, or you can join one of our groups if you’d prefer. Groups give you a chance to talk to people in the same boat as you, and they’re a great way of getting support from one another.
Groups can include support groups, music courses and fitness classes.

Addaction provides the clinical interventions including substitute prescribing where appropriate and Hartlepool Borough Council provides the assessment, recovery co-ordination PSI and other wraparound support.

The two agencies work in partnership as HART with nurses and recovery workers working together under the HART umbrella to achieve the best results for service users.
