Description of Service
Talking Matters is a free talking therapies service (IAPT) providing brief wellbeing interventions in Middlesbrough, Stockton, Hartlepool, Redcar and Cleveland. You will be assessed over the phone at a time convenient to you, and from the information you give us, we have a range of ways to help:
• Guided self-help
• Group psycho-education
• Telephone therapy
• Face to face therapy
All are designed to give you new resources to cope with things and help you going forward. We can see you in your local area, and at a time convenient to you.
The service is commissioned to work with people aged 18+ who are suffering from mild-moderate mental health symptoms such as depression, anxiety, trauma and phobias. Intended as a preventative service, patients must not currently be in secondary mental health care.
