Description of Service

Social Housing sheltered accommodation: Heronspool is a bungalow scheme with Community Hall for residents use. It is situated on the Central Estate with properties in Mountbatten, Firby and Heronspool Close. These are available for residents 60+ advertised via the Compass System. There are 47 two bed roomed bungalows and 6 one bed roomed bungalows. All bungalows have access to pull cord, which is monitored 24/7 - 365 days of the year, via the Community Monitoring Team. This is a support scheme, with mobile scheme officer. Stay Independent: self -contained one or two bedrooms with lounge, kitchen, bedroom/s and private bathroom. 24-hour support: access support anytime by calling our contact centre or by speaking to onsite staff. Outside agencies: we have good links and communication with other support providers and Hartlepool Borough Council so the right care can be accessed when identifying individual needs. Community: use of all on-site facilities and activities. We try to create a sociable and friendly community.

Vacancies are advertised via Compass and applicants are encouraged to bid for properties they are interested in. Residents with an identified disability priority can be supported in their bidding via the Independent Living Team, Thirteen Group.
