Description of Service
Social Housing sheltered accommodation: for customers over 60 years or with Medical need for sheltered accommodation. The scheme itself is on Lewis Grove, Rift House, which is on a main bus route, close to shops, post office and the local pub. There are 22 bedsit apartments, over two floors. All apartments are open plan living with living room/bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. There is 1 lift to the upper floor and as assisted bathroom on the ground floor. There is also a laundry, communal lounge and kitchen and small sitting room to the front of the scheme. All apartments have access to pull cords and each individual offered a pendent to call for assistance in emergencies. The scheme also benefits from a guest suite for which residents can access for a nominal charge for their families and friends. There is a scheme manager on site from 8:30am until 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30a, until 4:00pm on Fridays who can offer advice and support. 24-hour support: access support anytime by calling our contact centre or by speaking to onsite staff. Outside agencies: we have good links and communication with other support providers and Hartlepool Borough Council so the right care can be accessed when identifying individual needs. Community: use of all on-site facilities and activities. We try to create a sociable and friendly community.

Is there a cost for this service?
Rent and service charges can be discussed on an individual basis. If you are in receipt of care you will be assessed through Adult Social Services and advised what contribution you will pay towards the cost of the care received.
Lewis Grove is not open to the general public. If you would like a tour or to view this scheme please contact the support officer on site 01429 261155 between the hours of 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am until 4:00pm on Friday.

All flats have Tunstall alarm system. All passageways have handrails, with chair lifts to stairs. There is a door entry system to each flat at the entrance of the building. We can provide support, advice and access to adaptations for each tenants individual needs. Communal areas are also accessible for our tenants diverse needs.
