Motor Neurone Disease Association
Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a fatal, rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. It attacks the nerves that control movement so muscles no longer work. It can leave people locked in a failing body, unable to move, talk and eventually breathe. It kills a third of people within a year and more than half within two years of diagnosis.
Supporting the MND Association will help us:
• Provide expert support and information that helps people to live as well as possible, for as long as possible.
• Invest in research that will help us increase understanding of the disease, develop treatments and ultimately a cure.
• Campaign and raise awareness so the needs of people with MND and everyone who cares for them are recognised and addressed by wider society.
Some quick and easy ways you can support what we do and our full list of events, can be found on our website.
