More About The Provider
Description of Service
The Throston Project offers a range of fun, challenging and creative activities in the newly refurbished centre where young people are supported by experienced and helpful youth workers. Our activities include: arts, drama, IT projects, music mixing, advice and opportunities to discuss many issues (e.g. sexual health, drugs, alcohol, careers, bullying, smoking etc...), cuisine, residential, holiday activities, visits to a variety of places (e.g. theatre, ice skating, etc.), sporting activities (pool, snooker, football, table tennis, badminton, aerobics and the opportunity to enter competitions both locally and nationally) and a hang out space.
This list does not stop there and young people are encouraged to share their ideas and get involved in planning and organising of future activities and programmes.
Many of the activities are 'accredited' so young people can receive a certificate for taking part in activities that they enjoy.
