Service summary

Throston Youth Project

The Throston Project offers a range of fun, challenging and creative activities in the centre where young people are supported by experienced and helpful youth workers for young people aged 16-24 years who have a life long learning disability. Our activities include: arts, drama, IT projects, advice and opportunities to discuss many issues (e.g. sexual health, drugs, alcohol, careers, bullying, smoking etc...), cuisine, residential, holiday activities, visits to a variety of places (e.g. theatre, ice skating, etc.), sporting activities (pool, snooker, football, table tennis, badminton) and a hang out space. This list does not stop there and young people are encouraged to share their ideas and get involved in planning and organising of future activities and programmes.
