Description of Service
Would you like to gain valuable experience working for a Hartlepool based charity? Changing Futures are looking for volunteers! There are many local children and young people who are in need of your support! If you can relate to the problems families, young people and children face and are enthusiastic and committed, the mentoring project is a wonderful chance for you to make a difference in a person’s life.
Through working alongside project staff you will support a young person to overcome challenges in their life as well as achieving their goals and aspirations. You will support individuals to prepare the way for positive changes in their life , offering guidance and empowering the person to act for themselves.
The mentoring project allows the opportunity for you to listen and encourage a young person to make important healthy decisions.
At Changing Futures we offer on going training opportunities and the chance to make a substantial positive impact on a child's life.

Is there a cost for this service?
The mentoring groups run weekly on an evening at our building on the Headland or at Belle Vue Community Centre. There are 2 sessions on the Wednesday 5-7pm or 6-8 pm and 1 session on a Thursday 6-8 pm.
For all volunteering enquiries our office is open Monday-Friday , 8:30-5:00 pm.
