Age UK Teesside Walking Group

Age UK Teesside has started a weekly walking group in Stockton for people over 50, living with dementia or caring for someone with dementia, on every Monday. Walking routes will rotate, including: ◾Tees Barrage ◾Ropner Park ◾Preston Park ◾Thornaby ◾Stewart Park ◾Norton The session will include a local walk and refreshments in a social setting.

Young at Heart Peer ULO

Young at Heart ULO is an activity and social group for people with memory problems or a dementia. The group are supported and encouraged to take part in a range of activities that promote creativity, cognitive stimulation and physical activity, as well as engaging socially with other group members. There are four venues to choose from:

Cafe 1273 Drop In

The Hospital of God and Hartlepool Carers warmly invite you to Café 1273 on Tuesday February 25th 2020 at the Community Hub South on Wynyard Road in Hartlepool. Come along for friendship, mutual support and stimulation and if you would like to meet other people and make new friends. We aim to help people continue to enjoy their interests, as well as exploring new hobbies.

Healthwatch Hartlepool Community Engagement

Members of the public are invited to come along and tell Healthwatch about their experiences good or bad, of health and social care services.

Dementia Awareness Sessions

The Dementia Friendly Hartlepool project aims to develop Hartlepool as a nationally recognised dementia friendly community. We want to ensure that: - People living with dementia are able to remain active and involved in their communities. - The local community will be aware of and understand more about dementia

Your Memories in Tune with the Dementia Advisory Service

If you are a Carer for someone who has Dementia you may be interested in a weekly sing-a-long held at Laurel Gardens in Hartlepool. It's an opportunity to join in the singing, make friends and remember old favourite tunes. The weekly sessions are aimed at the over 55's, with Carers and other family members welcome.

Fusion Cafe at Cleveland Alzheimers Centre

Fusion Café was established in February 2006. It is a partnership venture between local agencies involved in Dementia Care. Clevearc are the lead agency but are supported regularly by staff from Stockton's integrated mental health service and Avalon. It is held on the last Friday of the month.

Young Onset Dementia Support Group

The Dementia Advisory Service, based at The Bridge, Villiers Street, Hartlepool is offering a Young Onset Dementia Support Group. This is aimed at people under 65 who are living with a diagnosis of Dementia.
