I am an Outstanding childminder who prides myself on being highly skilled and extremely passionate about providing children with the best possible start in their learning and development life’s.
I have high expectations for every child who attends my setting and I will help each child to make excellent progress in every area of learning.
With my older children they are exceptionally well prepared for starting school, and we support them building up resilience and independence, I am able to assess the older children and this shows they are high achievers and can demonstrate their understanding through literacy and mathematical skills
I have an excellent understanding of how to promote young children’s communication and language skills, I’m able to use a range of interventions and support parents to understand how to do this at home, working together supports that individual child and rapid progress can be made in relation to their starting points.
Our babies benefit from the caring and nurturing approach, I talk to parents about their child which allows and helps me get to know my children exceptionally well which helps new children settle very quickly and backed with good produces in place helps with that and I have an excellent secure bond with all my children here.
I provide a highly stimulating and exciting environment which allows the children to explore and have vast experiences in a fun manner. I ensure activities are prepared to capture children’s interests all age appropriate.
I reflect and evaluate my practice all the time, listen to the children’s idea’s which drives me forward to improve my setting. My assistant understands the procedures to follow to keep children safe and has supported her begin a childcare qualification to develop her skills. I am aware of my own continuous professional development to maintain excellent outcome for the children.
I offer a safe environment; I strive to build children’s self esteem and self confidence and with older children I teach them about respect and privacy. I prepare nutritious meals and ensure they the children have access to fresh air daily, actively promoting good health.
I have a good working relationship between all my families, we work together support the child, sharing any concerns or issues in an honest and open manner which in turn support the child and action that needs to be taken can be done swiftly with much better outcomes. I have and will continue to work with other multi agency professionals offering input if and when required relating to a specific child.
Children need the best start in life, to be keen active learners and to be confident in their own abilities, have good social skill and are happy to be explorers, bouncing back from setbacks, being willing to have a go, having their own ideas to name a few, hopefully this is what we can offer here at my setting.
