Youth Music is a national charity investing in music making projects for children and young people experiencing challenging circumstances. Hartlepool Borough Council is running a three year Youth Music project to support young people who are not in education, employment or training with the aim of developing the musical skills of all the young people involved.

World Alzheimers Day Poster Competition

The theme for the competition is ‘Living Well with Dementia’ to increase awareness and understanding of dementia and recognise that people with dementia can live well with the condition. There are three age categories for this competition: 4-10, 11-15 and 16-18 Winners of each category will be awarded a £25 W H Smith Voucher and there will also be runners-up prizes.

OK, I give up, where did September go?  I don’t know if it’s just me, but it feels like the year is flying by! It wouldn’t be the blog without our monthly travel story, but maybe, just maybe there is some light at the end of the tunnel.  This story refers to the experiences of a wheelchair user who was told to leave a Ryanair flight because his wheelchair couldn’t fold.
