Day 5 - Creating a Learning Culture

Learning culture

Organisations should be open, honest and transparent. Staff should feel supported by their peers and their managers.

Having a supportive environment, means that if harm does occur, staff can learn from this and put measures in place to prevent similar harm occurring again.

It is important for all organisations to reflect on the most serious instances of abuse and neglect and how this applies to their own agency and practice.

TeeswideSAB and partners recently held a Learning from Reviews webinar.

Practitioners heard about the learning and themes from a range of children and adult safeguarding reviews and Domestic Homicide Reviews.

If you missed the session, you can find all of our resources here.
