We are looking for APLE members to work with us

Hartlepool Action Lab are a member organisation of the APLE (Addressing Poverty with Lived Experience) Collective - and we are looking for members with lived experience of poverty to work with us.

The APLE collective works with organisations and individuals who are led by lived experiences of poverty. We here at the Action Lab have been a member organisation for approx. 18 months and we are looking for people to work with us. This is a great opportunity to take part in national campaigns, and by working together we have a greater chance at creating lasting change.

It is a very exciting time to be a member of the APLE Collective as we have just been awarded 'Digital Campaigner Of The Year' by the UK Parliamentary Awards for 2021.

We are campaigning to address the digital divide and are regularly invited to share our experiences at All Party Parliamentary Groups and other places where the voice of lived experience is valued.

Anyone who has lived experiences of poverty, and who would like to work with us as APLE members, will be supported to have the kit needed to take part in a weekly meeting. These meetings are informal check-ins and lead into other break out groups which are more targeted around campaigning, governance or communications.

If you know of anyone who would like to work with us as APLE members please contact me via email at Darren.Leighton@JRHT.org.uk or mobile at 07989 207804.
