Hartlepool Young Onset Dementia Group Blog

We are pleased to let you know that we are back to our weekly group meeting at Hartlepool Football Ground and have extended our opening time to 10am to 12.30pm.

It was strange at first being able to meet with our friends, catching up on what everyone has been doing during lockdown and like us all some had found it more difficult that others, and we still have a couple of friends not ready as yet to venture out.

The Mental Health Team referred two new members who attended last week and hopefully will have enjoyed themselves sufficiently to come back this week.

Newsletters and information leaflets where handed out and then posted to those not able to attend.

The Bridge informed us of funding available and information has been to put forward on our behalf which will help us if successful to produce our own craft material.

There was so much we missed during April to July, we had planned a jam-packed diary of events, but hopefully once permitted we can commence our visits out once again.

In August we hope to visit to Beamish and start to meet up regularly for weekly walks.

We had booked a session at Larry’s Lanes for this week to play bowls, but unfortunately this had to be cancelled for now, hopefully we will still get there this month!

Hope to hear from you all soon. Please call in to see us all and have a cuppa and a chat.

Take care.
