The Queens Rink - 'More than just a dance hall', with Frances Wilson is the latest CHAT event at Community Hub Central.

The Rink was much loved and was the meeting place of many couples. It originally opened as a roller skating rink but over the years it had a large number of uses which may surprise people.

In the 50s and 60s many famous faces appeared there from Humphrey Littleton to the Moody Blues, Manfred Mann and other famous 1960s groups.

The talk, given by Frances Wilson, traces the history of the building and how it was used right up to its closure in 1968. For many it will also be a trip down memory lane.

This CHAT event at Community Hub Central on York Road, Hartlepool, on the 5th March 2020 from 2.00pm - 3.30pm.

Booking essential as the event is filling up quickly, with £1 admission.  Booking via the Hub on 01429 272905 or email central.library@hartlepool.gov.uk
