At todays meeting in The Bridge dementia advisory centre the group talked about recent events they had taken part in.

They have been Larry’s Lanes Bowling Alley, funded by Groundworks. The group always enjoys these visits and everyone has a great time.

They have also taken part in a chair exercise class during one of their Thursday meetings in Hartlepool Utd football club. Everyone enjoyed the session and hope to have more soon.

The Bridge new senior Hannah is supporting the group to design a new leaflet to help publicise the group.

Work continues on the Facebook page and will be up and running soon.

A new drop in service which is being run by the mental health team will be held at the Bridge every Friday morning starting August 9th for any one who has concerns or questions on their diagnosis or medication with regard to upcoming changes in medication reviews. These will no longer being carried out by the mental health team. Instead GP’s will carry out medical reviews.

Anyone diagnosed with young onset dementia and their loved one/carer are  welcome to join the Thursday group in Hartlepool Football ground and the monthly meeting held in The Bridge.
