Youth Music is a national charity investing in music making projects for children and young people experiencing challenging circumstances. Hartlepool Borough Council is running a three year Youth Music project to support young people who are not in education, employment or training with the aim of developing the musical skills of all the young people involved.

The Switch It project aims ensure the best outcomes for young people as possible, monitoring their musical development and delivering appropriate accreditation such as the Arts Award, Youth Achievement Award or Rock School Grades.

The project will run from October 2018 - May 2021 and will be based in two centres; at Throston Youth Project and the Centre for Excellence in Creative Arts (CECA).

If you are a young person, aged 16-19 and not currently in education, employment or training or if you are a youth support worker and are interested in finding out more about the project and how to get involved, please get in touch with Tim Coyte on (01429) 523617 or email
