Connected Care Handyman Service
Connected Care provide a small household repair service,and is run on a not-for-profit basis.Any charges made go towards the costs of running the scheme. This ensures we can assist as many people as possible.Our handyman service may be able to help you if you are:
Over 60 years of age or disabled (of any age)
Living in the local authority area of Hartlepool
A Housing Hartlepool tenant
Our charges are:
£7 per hour,inclusive of VAT
However,there will be NO CHARGE for pensioners or disabled people.
There may also be a charge for any materials that we supply to complete the job and this will be agreed with you beofre any work starts. In many cases our customers supply their own materials and this is quite acceptable.You have the right to review the work and cancel at anytime with out incurring further costs.Referrals are not necessary and anyone can request assistance from this this service,provided they meet the criteria required.
Examples of work we will undertake:
- Fitting of grab rails and extra banister rails
- Rewiring plugs and fitting fuses
- Changing light bulbs/shades and fitting door bells
- Joinery type repairs e.g doors,chelving,skirting boards and frames
- Small scale pruning and hedging
- Painting and decorating jobs e.g wallpapering,hanging curtains etc
- Small scale jobs e.g leaking taps,replacing tap handles with lever handles
- Fitting of door bolts,chains and security key safes
Once we recieve you details we will arrange a convenient date and time when the work can be carried out. On completion of the work we will ask you to sign a simple completion form and then you will be invoiced accordingly.
Please Note: Permission should be sought from the landlord before any alterations can be undertaken.
