Bulky waste

The Bulky Household Waste Collection is a free service on offer to all households in the Hartlepool Borough Council area.

The council will remove up to 8 household items completely free of charge.  You must pre-arrange a collection day with the council, and tell them what you would like to have collected.

On the day of collection you must leave your items outside and ready to be picked up.

What the service will and will not remove

There are some items which the council can not remove.  The Bulky Household Waste service will not take garden waste or domestic refuse (which you would normally put in your brown and green wheelie bins)sacks.  They will not take hazardous objects, such as tyres or fluorescent light tubes.

For a full list of what the Bulky Household Waste service will and will not collect, visit the Bulky Waste pages on the Hartlepool Borough Council website.  If you have any questions, contact Hartlepool Connect at the Civic Centre using the details below.
