Learning disability awareness training

Hartlepool-based support broker and trainer Incontrol-able will be hosting a series of free learning disability awareness sessions for anyone working directly with members of the public.

The sessions will raise awareness of ‘disability hate crime' and the spending power of people with disabilities.  They will also cover issues such as:

  • communication
  • the Mental Capacity Act
  • equality
  • legal duties

Incontrol-able aims to deliver this training to small groups of 15-20 people.  There is a choice of six sessions, all of which will take place in the Conference Room of Hartlepool Enterprise Centre, Brougham Terrace, from 9.30 am until 12.30 pm.

  • Wednesday 15 September
  • Wednesday 13 October
  • Wednesday 17 November
  • Wednesday 12 January 2011
